The existence of these two persons (Peter Monz and M. Gabl) is documented by their mention in “Vom Oberrhein zum Etschquellraum” on page Z17 and page Z25.
The wording on page Z25 is once again very ambiguous. A comma should appear after “Sohn d. Peter Monz und M. Gabl”, which would change the meaning considerably. Unfortunately, M. Gabl's full first name is not given anywhere.
