Comment:
The existence of these two individuals (Michael Schuchter and Maria Monz) is documented through references to them in “Vom Oberrhein zum Etschquellraum” on page Z24 (at the very bottom), page Z25 (at the very top), and page Z17.
On page Z25, at the very top, it cannot be determined to whom the birth year 1641 should be assigned. It cannot refer to Jakob, whose birth year is given as 1681 on the previous page. However, it could refer to either Michael Schuchter or Maria Monz. Based on the age at Jakob's birth, I have concluded that it most likely refers to Michael.
On page Z17, Dr. Richard Patscheider explains the connection between the Monz and Schuchter families and clearly states that Jakob Schuchter was an ancestor (great-great-great-grandfather) of Adelheid Schuchter (his mother). This, in turn, appears credible.
