From the stories of my great-aunt Maria Vorderwinkler:

Theodor became a turner at the Steyr Works and last lived at Wehrgrabengasse 35 in Steyr.

At the age of 24, he married Maria Winzer in Linz in May 1926 (our later "Aunt Mitzi" from Linz).

The happiness of the couple did not last long. Still childless, Theodor fell seriously ill in 1930 with pulmonary and laryngeal tuberculosis. According to his sister Maria, it began with a harmless flu that never went away. However, he had to wait nine months for a hospital bed in Steyr. Later, he was also treated in Buchberg, but by then he already had a hole the size of an orange in his lung. He succumbed to his severe illness at the St. Anna Sanatorium (Steyr).

His wife, Maria Vorderwinkler (née Winzer), went to Linz after the war and worked there in administration at the Upper Austrian Regional Health Insurance Fund until her retirement.

Maria remained unmarried. Both before and long after her retirement, she traveled extensively and became well known in Linz as a tour guide at the adult education center (Volkshochschule).

Unfortunately, she spent her last months in complete mental confusion in a nursing home in Bad Hall.

Maria and Theodor are buried at the urn cemetery in Steyr at Tabor.
