The existence of these two persons (Martinus Jarosch and Barbara) is only documented by the entry of their son Bartolomäus in the "Ahnenpass" (ancestry certificate).

Kauthen is today’s „Kouty“, a district of „Kravaře ve Slezsku“ („Deutsch Krawarn“) in the Opava district. The former district of Ratibor is today located in the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland as well as in the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic.
