Name of the child: Franz (Františec), Catholic faith, male gender.
Father: Franz Humhal, farmer.
Mother: Barbara Humhal, born Mardiwa, house number unknown, from Podešice, Chlumecká estate.
Comment:
The “Ahnenpass” (ancestry certificate) is credible and therefore a good data basis.
It is very difficult to identify the parish office Chlum near Selčan. Selčan (Seltschan) is now Sedlčany and this Chlum refers, according to information from Mr. Ing. Radek Malohlava, to Chlum as a district of Nalžovice (which is also not far from Sedlčany). Kňovitz can actually only be Kňovice and is located a few kilometers north of Sedlčany.
The birth or baptism register of Chlum is in Czech and therefore difficult to decipher. Mr. Ing. Radek Malohlava kindly translated the above data for me. I believe that the mother's name is Mardina and not Mardiwa.
